Loren Data Corp’s ECGridOS is a Web Services API that bridges the EDI implementation gap. ECGridOS provides global EDI communications via a WS standard interface. For custom integrations, ECGridOS presents virtually no barrier to rapid technical implementation. In addition to the ECGridOS API, Loren Data’s product road map plots a course for services that facilitate trading partner relations via open directories, One-Touch, inter-partner peering using BPM, and the adoption of open standards for automated EDI document schema reconciliation.

Loren has been in business since 1987. ECGrid has operated since 2001 as Loren’s branded service for X12.56 transit routing between VANs and electronic commerce service providers. ECGridOS is the Web Services gateway for customized access to ECGrid. Loren operates two data centers with interchanges to 65+ commerce VANs and electronic commerce providers. That’s a lot of QID’s and mailboxes (600,000 estimated QID’s, and 30,000 active daily trading partner transactions) .

The service is ARR (All Routes Reachable) via SPA (Single Point Attachment). Loren also operates a trading partner directory; clients connecting to ECGrid can reach any Trading Partner.
